MEET THE TEAM
We're a predominantly female owned company with a small team that is committed to female empowerment and equality. Our home is Portland, Oregon, home to delicious food, unbeatable coffee, and the most epic adventures.
Co-Founder & Head of Business Development
Katie grew up playing every sport she could find: skiing in the winter, camping in the summer, and generally running around outside. She spent most of her 20's in Scandinavia, where she was lucky enough to attend grad school, work in marketing, and experience many different cultures.
She moved to Portland in 2009 and started working in the outdoor industry. She's held positions in sales and sales management in the outdoor and SaaS industries, including owning her own business.
In her free time, Katie enjoys mountain biking, doing yoga, camping and road tripping, and hanging out with her dog. "My husband and I are expecting our first baby in July, so my current hobbies have shifted to snacking and nesting.”
Co-Founder & Creative Director
At a young age Sarah learned that she thrived on experiences. She was a multi-sport athlete from a young age, and also sang and danced her way through childhood in choir and musicals. This passion for more carried into adulthood where coached field hockey, studied Architecture, worked in Fashion, earned a Raw Chef Certification, and studied Naturopathic Medicine.
In 2014 Sarah moved to the PNW where she returned to the Fashion industry. Over her career she has held positions in design, merchandising, and buying, and most recently in digital commerce for a Fortune 500 company.
She is an avid plant-based cook and creative entrepreneur that is passionate about mental health and wellness and living a more sustainable life. In her free time, you can find her at spin, hot yoga, or hiking in Forest Park. “I’m usually always planning a vacation, the chronic wanderlust most definitely applies to me.”
Our designer Shawna is a hot yoga and Pilates girl who grew up on California’s Gold Coast. She was raised by parents that were both passionate Title 9 supporters. Shawna is an athlete and one of the sports she loved as a kid was baseball. Shawna was the first girl to play on a boys Little League team in her town. Her loving and supportive dad went to all of her games and used to shout “Stay Golden” to her, a reference to Ponyboy from the film, The Outsiders.
Shawna believes that men and women have different needs when it comes to underwear. "My husband doesn’t wear any… most girls can’t get away with that. Women have a different set of needs and athletic women have even more specific needs. It was those needs that caused me to want to make my own."
Now as a mom she loves hiking with her two boys and calls herself a "Sherpa" while shlepping children, snacks, water and diapers up the mountain!
