She couldn’t buy it, so she built it
BRANWYN began with a search that came up empty. Original founder and designer Shawna wanted a pair of underwear made from natural fibers that could keep up with her during workouts. What she found instead were soggy polyester-cotton blends that were bad for the planet and harmful to women’s health, or styles cut without any consideration for how a woman's body actually moves.
So she made her own.
Two years of research, development, and countless prototypes later, she landed on a seamless blend of high-content Merino wool, nylon, and elastane. The result was Performance Innerwear that finally worked as hard as she did.
Today, BRANWYN designs the world's first seamless Merino wool Performance Innerwear collection, including bras, underwear, and leggings, from its headquarters in Bend, Oregon, proving that women never had to choose between natural fibers and high performance.
