COMPRESSIVE LEGGINGS FAQ
By core spinning 76% ZQ Merino with OKEO-TEX 100 certified performance fibers using advanced Italian Santoni Seamless machines, BRANWYN has created a first-of-its-kind activewear collection—redefining what’s possible in natural-fiber performance apparel and setting a new standard for sustainability and function.
As with all of our 4-way stretch seamless Merino Performance Innerwear finding the right size for you is a personal preference.
The leggings sculpt to your muscles and curves. Because they are seamless the compression is equally distributed around your torso and legs. Sizing down offers more of a compressive feel. However, it can contribute to transparency due to the stretch of the natural fibers.
If you are unsure, size up.
This a brand new development. In order to produce XS and XXL, we are working with our factory to order new Italian Santoni machines to be made. It will take time and we are committed to making this happen. Please sign up to be notified the moment they drop.
POWRspun is BRANWYN's proprietary seamless knitting technique combining 76% extra fine corespun ZQ Merino with OKEO-TEX -certified nylon and elastane.
The result is high-performance Merino benefits of moisture-wicking, temperature regulation, anti-microbial and odor-resistant, combined with a great fit, second-skin comfort, and healthy, sustainable fibers.
Great question!
Due to the unique construction used to achieve seamless compression with Merino, some transparency may occur when the fabric is stretched with deep squats, downward facing dog, or sizing down.
Any "transparency" is caused by the natural separation of Merino fibers when stretched. When you stand from your squat the fibers recover.
To help solve this for this potentiality, we recommend you pair them with your favorite Black Essential Bikinis or Hipsters.
The POWRspun fibers form to your body. The longer you wear it, the more second-skin feeling it becomes. Care is the most important factor in ensuring the longevity of the leggings.
Factors that can affect stretch and recovery:
- Heat: High temperatures from washing machines and dryers can damage the fibers.
- Wear and tear: Sizing down, friction, and over-use can cause the fabric to lose elasticity.
- Too frequent washing: Multiple wash cycles can cause leggings to stretch out.
What you can do to prevent stretching:
- Wash in cold water and air-dry.
- Rotate leggings to give them time to recover their shape.
- Be careful of rough surfaces that could cause snags or damage.
Thanks to Merino's natural antibacterial properties, you can wear your Compressive Leggings for weeks without ever needing to wash them.
When you do wash them, we recommend turning your leggings inside out and hand washing in cold water with wool-friendly soap.
If you use a washing machine, turn inside out. use a mesh cotton laundry bag to reduce stretching and stress on the fabric, and wash on delicate cycle with cold water.
Then roll in a towel to eliminate excess water, and lay flat to dry. Merino dries super quickly. Do not put it in the dryer.
Important:
Always wash black and darker garments separately to avoid color transfer. Never use bleach or fabric softener. Bleach destroys Merino, while fabric softeners coat the fibers, minimizing their ability to manage moisture and regulate body temperature.
Garments damaged due to improper care cannot be refunded or exchanged.
As always, we are committed to you finding the perfect fit for you!
We absolutely expect you to try on your sculpting Compressive Leggings, strike your most pretzel-like pose in front of the mirror. Just please don't "wear" them if you are unsure or intend to return or exchange them.
We can only accept returns and exchanges of leggings in unworn and unwashed condition. Thank you for understanding.
Great question!
The way to think about seamless construction is that the fabric and garment are getting made on a circular machine, essentially creating the entire garment without any cutting or sewing.
Unilie cut-and-sew where the fabric is made, a pattern laid on the fabric, s cut out of the fabric, and it is sewn together.
Seamless construction eliminates seams by forming the garment in a single piece, lessens fabric waste, and offers better body contouring.
The tradeoff, is that the garment typically has less details, because that requires more sewing and seams.
