Our Essential Racerback Sports Bra is designed to fit snugly against your body for maximum support. To find your best fit, start with the band—our sizing is based on field testing where two fingers fit comfortably between the band and your body, but not more.

If you prefer a slightly looser fit, we recommend sizing up. If it feels just a bit tight, try wearing and washing it a few times—most bras gently relax and mold to your body over time before considering an exchange.

Will it stretch out?

Yes! Performance Innerwear is designed to give a little with wear and washing, molding to your shape while keeping support and comfort.

How to measure your band size:

Measure snugly around your rib cage, directly under your bust.
Add 3 inches to that measurement.
- Example: A 31" rib cage + 3 = 34, so your band size is 34.
If the result is an odd number, round UP to the next even band size.
- Example: A 32" rib cage + 3 = 35 → round up to 36.

As someone who doesn't love wearing any kind of bra, this racerback sports bra is perfect. It is supportive but the material is so soft you forget you are wearing it. I've been slowly updating my wardrobe to wool/natural materials and Branwyn has become a quick favorite due to the quality and price.

Soft and supportive!

I love this bra! I bought it a couple of months ago, and this fabric really does seem to avoid odors! A couple of times since then I’ve rotated it with my typical polyester sports bras, and every time the smell gets me! This really seems to wick sweat. It is very thick, which is nice because I have not had any nipple visibility issues with it. But I feel like the thickness will make me want to go shirtless in the summer when exercising; rather than layering a shirt over the bra. I have not needed any padding to achieve smoothness or to hide nipples. The bra seems to work great as is. The band around the bottom of it is fairly tight, but that adds to the support. I’m typically a size large in sports bras- and I’ve tried both a large and extra large in this one- and decided to keep both. I just get more compression in my normal size (large), but when I size up a little bit to the xl, the lower band is a bit more comfy and sometimes I like the extra length. overall, I’m really happy with this purchase and may even collect more colors. For reference, in the photos I’m wearing the size large in black.
