I’m in love with this. It’s so comfortable and doesn’t smell! I exercised in it 5 days in a row and it didn’t feel sweaty or smelly.
I expected I would return this bra. Anything in S/M/L sizes never works for me, I usually require a band size. But this is an exception. Super comfy, I wouldn't jog or mountain bike in it, but great for weekend errands and evenings at home....
Great every day bra! Fits great and no stink, it’s truly the only bra I need!
I have long been a fan of natural fibers, and Branwyn products deliver. After having tried merino underwear from a few other companies, I purchased a bra and Essential Hipster from Branwyn. I’ve since come back to complete my underwear wardrobe. The fabric is soft and comfortably snug. They wash like a dream, whether in the sink, shower, or delicate machine cycle. They dry quickly. They are perfect for travel and delightful for daily wear. I only hope Branwyn decides to make a slip: I would buy several.
I am amazed at how comfortable this bra is. I am a 34DDD and in between the medium and large. I tried both and found that the band size was more comfortable on the large. I have hiked in this multiple times and love that it pulls the sweat away and doesn't leave me feeling wet like a regular bra does. My only complaint is that you do get the uniboob. I wish that it had a bit more structure to prevent that. But to be able to hike without staying wet and gross will surpase the uniboob issue.
I didn’t expect to like it. I love it! I thought it would likely be too small and that i might just wear it as a lounge bra around the house. I’m a 44G. But it’s great. I would like a little bit bigger cup, but honestly, it’s got coverage and light support. I won’t wear this to work in the office for meetings, most likely. But work from home days or days in the office just working at my desk, you bet!
After trying Merino underwear from two other companies, and striking out on fit, I finally found a winner! The Branwyn Essential Hipster hugs in all the right places and does not ride up in the back. I did find that sizing to my hips instead of my waist was the key.
i actually wear this one daily- i have an active job and i need to be able to move around and not overheat. this bra is the best because of the moisture wicking and breathable fabric. highly recommend for people who work with children and are moving around 24/7!
The shorts are comfortable and great quality. They do run at least one size small so I highly recommend ordering up.
Obviously, it’s wool. It’s not going to feel super silky or soft when you put them on or when you feel with your fingers. But the magic happens once you’re wearing it! Once it’s on is the last time I think about it at all. It’s like I’m wearing nothing. So comfortable all day long.
I've purchased Merino wool items for years, one of my favorite purchases is long underwear that I wear under lighter pants in the winter. I never considered wool for underwear. These hipster undies and so comfortable and such a good cut, they stay in place. They are perfect for hiking and outdoor adventures in the summer. I'm looking forward to replacing my cotton undies with more of these wool ones!
I love the idea of soft wool bras. I love natural materials and try to only wear natural materials, so when I heard about Branwyn I ordered a few items, different sizes and colors. At first I purchased a smaller size and was annoyed at how tight the waist band was. I then ordered up a size and this fit much better. Now I really like the Busty Bra. The bottom band is a little thick and I wish it was thinner but all in all I really like it. BIGGEST TAKE AWAY: ORDER UP ONE SIZE FOR COMFORT.
i sized up like others recommended - comfy! They do rise a bit on the inside of the leg if I pulled them down but when I didn’t the legs stayed in place well. I like them!
I love all my Branwyn items! A lot of through hikers (which I just do sections) swear by the brand!! If you are active in any sport, or a hiker like me - anything Branwyn can’t be beat! I have most all!! They seemed spendy at first but so worth it - comfort and quality are worth it!!
Branwyn just keeps getting better. Thank you for expanding your merino offerings WITHOUT compromising quality or customer service! These shorts are true to size with good compression. No bulging, rolling, or pinching. If you wanted a little less compression, you could size up and still have a flattering look.
Very nice bra once you get the right fit. I think the xl works for someone who is not as voluptuous as the model.
This is a well-made, sturdy, and supportive bra. I want to really love it. But the band is too wide, and it rolls and rides up, creating a very uncomfortable experience. If it was just a bit thinner, it would be perfect.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We’re so glad to hear you find the bra well-made and supportive, though we completely understand how frustrating it can be when the band doesn’t sit quite right. Since you mentioned the wider band rolling up, our Bralette might be a great option for you—it has a smaller band that some find more comfortable.

—we’d love to help. We’re always looking for ways to make our bras as comfortable as they are supportive!
I’m 50+yo, size 38c with loose skin from weight loss. Large fits me perfectly. Everything stays in place and I can easily wear for 4 days on a row with no smell or stretching out.
I really like the bra. No pads. No wires. However, the band tends to roll up. Otherwise it is very comfortable
So comfortable I forgot I was wearing it! These bras manage to be supportive without restrictive, plus the wool is so good for hot days.
I bought one of these in size large during my pregnancy and wore it almost every day throughout my pregnancy and during the first few weeks of nursing. I liked it more than my nursing bras because the material was both comfortable and supportive, and I could wear it longer between washes. I bought a size medium once my milk regulated and wear it every night. Absolutely love these bras. They have held up great after tons of use.
Comfy minimalism AND support, both the bralettes and the busty are the ones I reach for now. Did I mention comfortable?
