Love the fit and the way the fabric drapes, both casual and comfy but still flattering. I stay the perfect temp all day.
I purchased the Hoodie Pullover in black several months ago and seriously couldn't take it off all winter in Washington state. I wanted another one, but wasn't sure about the agave green color. When it went on sale, I splurged and bought it. The color in person is so much better than what my computer monitor shows. It's a lovely grayish-green, and interestingly compliments my blue-gray eye color. I'm very happy with this hoodie. It's very soft and not itchy at all. I like it a bit loose, so I ordered a large, 5'7, 140 lbs.
When this went on sale, I decided to go ahead and get it. It is a luxury I didnt know I needed! It is nice and thick and feels good against my skin. I was worried it would be itchy, but it isn't at all. I got my regular size which is XL. I'm only 4' 10" and I'm glad it isn't oversized on me. It is the perfect length and also the arms aren't too long. It looks polished enough to wear it at work too. I know this will be a definite staple in my wardrobe. By the way, I only wear Branwyn bralettes and underwear exclusively. They are pricey, but so worth it for breathable comfort. I also love that there are no bad chemicals and materials used. You have a customer for life. Thank you.
This hoodie is phenomenal. And I don’t say that lightly. I don’t like kangaroo pockets, and every single hoodie I’ve ever worn I’ve gotten rid of. Not this one! I can (and have) go days in this! I don’t know what Branwyn did, but I don’t even notice the pocket, even with my phone or keys in it.
The price point is a little high when compared to other merino companies and their hoodies, so I purchased during their BFCM 2024 event. I have now had over three months to really put it through the paces. It’s gone skiing, to the gym, walked the pup, lounged around the house, and can even be dressed up for a video call for work (I work fully remote).
Pros: the color 💙, the feel, warmth. I really like the design of the neck - kind of cowl-y, but kind of mock/turtle neck. Hood fits well and stays up when needed.
Cons: I don’t like the tag. It’s so long and every time I pull on the hoodie, I have to tuck it in. Surely there is a better way to design this? As it has ALL of the info of the garment on it, I don’t want to remove it. Knocked off a star for this.
Not so much a hoodie-thing as a me-thing: I have long arms. There are only a couple of merino companies that I have found that offer complete coverage on me. This hoodie is one of them, but only just. I can’t use the thumbholes, as the sleeves fall just short. Maybe if the thumbhole was extended a little? Or just a quarter of an inch longer sleeves, and this would be absolute perfection!
Sizing: I followed Branwyn’s size chart, which put me at an XL, and the hoodie is darn near perfect. I could maybe size down to a L, but then the sleeves would definitely be too short on me.
Comfy…warm… but definitely a splurge.
